Importance of Printing Press on Scientific Revolution.

In the 15th century, Europe emerged from the Dark Ages. It was a time of radical change in thought and culture, and it also marked the beginning of the Renaissance-a rebirth of art, science, and culture. One of the most important inventions of the era was the printing press. The printing press was invented in 1440, allowing large amounts of printed material to be produced at once for the first time. Before then, books were manuscripts written by hand and copied by scribes. In the Middle Ages, books were extremely expensive and hard to produce. Most books were handwritten by monks, who painstakingly copied each word onto a page by hand. These books were called illuminated manuscripts. They were expensive and meant only for nobles and the Church. In the 17th century, a revolution in thought changed the world.
